Paraguay is a landlocked country in South America, bordered by Brazil, Argentina, and Bolivia. Its capital is Asunción. Known for its rich Guaraní culture, vast plains, and Jesuit missions, Paraguay is famous for the Paraguay River, the Chaco region, and traditional music and crafts. The official currency is the Paraguayan guaraní (PYG).
