Ivory Coast, also known as Côte d'Ivoire, is a West African country, bordered by Liberia, Guinea, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Ghana, with a coastline along the Atlantic Ocean (Gulf of Guinea). Its political capital is Yamoussoukro, while Abidjan is the largest city and economic hub. Known for its cultural diversity, cocoa production, and vibrant cities, Ivory Coast is famous for Basilica of Our Lady of Peace, Banco National Park, the Grand-Bassam colonial town, and its dynamic music scene (coupé-décalé). The official currency is the West African CFA franc (XOF).
