Konstanz (pronounced [ˈkɔnstants], locally [ˈkɔnʃtants]; formerly English: Constance, Czech: Kostnice, Latin: Constantia) is a university city with approximately 83,000 inhabitants located at the western end of Lake Constance in the south of Germany, bordering Switzerland.
